Yokohama or Kamakura? Choose Your Dining Day Trip

Choose Yokohama for the view and the evening

For a daytime starting point, Takayouji pairs Japanese lunch sets with views from Minato Mirai. For a special dinner, compare Iron Bay’s wood-fire cooking and hotel setting with SUBZERO at the pier.

Choose Kamakura for a garden lunch and culture

Ara Tama’s steak lunch is the restaurant at the center of my Kamakura plan. The garden setting and varied Japanese course give lunch its own place in the day.

The Kamakura day itinerary continues with Verve coffee, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, a museum and café, a massage and Turkish dinner near the station. Follow the full route or choose a few stops; museum and seasonal-garden schedules should guide the final plan.

A quick way to decide

  • A view during lunch: start with Takayouji in Yokohama.
  • A hotel dinner or a dining cruise: choose Yokohama and compare Iron Bay, SUBZERO and Marine Rouge.
  • A garden lunch with a shrine and museum walk: choose Kamakura and start with Ara Tama.
  • A day that alternates food, coffee and cultural stops: use the Kamakura itinerary.

Where Enoshima fits
