KEN’S DESTINATION COLLECTION
Urban Vibe
City energy, neighborhood discoveries and memorable tables. Explore Tokyo, Yokohama and Kawasaki through my restaurant visits, museum cafés and food-led day plans. Choose the city first, then follow its guide or reviews.
Tokyo: Ginza dining and special occasions
Start with L’Odorante in Ginza for French dining and cheese with wine, or Ginza Seikoan for a Japanese kaiseki dinner. For a hotel setting, read my Peter at The Peninsula Tokyo review.
For a birthday celebration with a different culinary tradition, explore my Reikasai Ginza birthday dinner review, centred on the restaurant’s Chinese imperial culinary heritage.
Yokohama: Lunch with a view and an evening by the bay
Takayouji pairs Japanese lunch sets with views from Minato Mirai. For an evening, compare Iron Bay’s wood-fire dinner with SUBZERO or a Marine Rouge dining cruise. For another evening by the waterfront, read my CARVAAN Bay Yokohama dinner review.

Kawasaki: Haneda access, shopping and local discoveries
For visitors arriving at Haneda Airport, Kawasaki makes a practical base for exploring Tokyo and Yokohama. Keikyu provides airport connections to Keikyu Kawasaki, and nearby JR Kawasaki has rail links into both cities. Use Keikyu’s airport access guide to check your train and any change at Keikyu Kamata.
With LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza directly connected to JR Kawasaki Station, you can take care of much of your shopping in one place, leaving more time for restaurants, museums and other experiences in Tokyo, Yokohama and beyond. JR Kawasaki and Keikyu Kawasaki are separate stations; LAZONA’s official access guide shows how to reach the plaza from each.
For a museum outing, read my Fujiko F. Fujio Museum Café review. For a casual dinner, read my Syukur soup curry review in Musashi-Kosugi. For a longer break, Shiraku no Yu brings together an onsen, dining and an overnight stay. These stops are in Kawasaki, with their own access details in the reviews.
Build your day around the meal
Open a destination’s guide or a review to choose the meal, then check its access and reservation details. My Dining Guide brings together booking, language and dietary planning. Each destination is an outing to plan in its own right.
